handover intra BSC

    Hi all,
    with Ericsson,i have 2 BSC’s (bsc1 and BSc2)and 1 MSC.my problem is that sites on bsc2 cant make handover with sites on bsc1.i difine neighbour ext and int well.help please

    hello,

    you need to define neighbor cells and LAC in the MSC. you should focus on MSC, that’s certainly where the mistake is.

    If LAC of BSC1 and BSC2 not same value, MSC must define neighbor LAC also.

    Hi ozibi,
    Check for the CGI, BSIC, BCCH values of cells and the neighbors in both the BSCs. If the o/g calls are normal from both BSCs, then no need to check with MSC. Since they belong to same MSC, check completely the external neighbor list for each cells and check with the neighbor BSC.
