    what are different reasons for call muting.

    hello everyone,

    we have the same problem too.

    During MOC, calling party (let say A party) get silent and doesn’t hear anything even the dialing tone, but the called B party can hear very well A party voice call.

    After A party hang up and redial again B party, the conversation is normal and they both can hear each other.

    There isnt a specific location where this happen.

    what can be the problem?

    Hi abc,
    what is your network vendor and phone vendors which have these type of problems?
    Are there AMF_FR or TFO activated?

    Hi VanG,

    Our network vendor is nokia, and this problem has happen in nokiae52, iphone, htc, so I suppose that is not a phone vendor problem.

    AMR-FR and TFO ia active in our network.

    Do you have any idea what can be the problem?

    I am faced the same problem in our network and when I am disabled the AMR_FR the problem does not occurs…
    I also looking for solution to solve this problems..

    What is your network vendor?
    Is DTX (discontinius transmission) enable in your network?

    Hi abc,
    yes we use the AMR_FR/HR with DTX_AMR_FR/HR and TFO also.

    hi,

    DTX is enable in our network too. I was thinking maybe can be DTX problem but I am not sure,,,

    Please share if you find a solution

    1.Pls check your A- & Ater interface circuit mapping,there might be some configuration issues in some circuits.

    2.In case of MGW,pls check for any Ater configuration Failure Alarms.
