    In Siemens vendor the formula for External Handover Success Rate=100 (* externalHandoverSuccess
    /
    external handover attempts)
    inour network external handover success > handover attempts

    what the reasons for that
    please help me about it

    external handover success > “external ?” handover attempts . it shouldn’t be possible, if what you’re looking at is correct.
    By the way, why don’t you give us a full example of a report ? with internal & external ho requests, attempts and success ?

    Dear Hasn!
    In what network entity (MSC or BSC) these counters are registered?
    What counters constitute the externalHandoverSuccess?
    Handover attempts in MSC are only inter-BSC handover attempts and Inter-Msc from MSCA to MSCB handover attempts, but not from MSCB to MSCA and subsequent handovers.

    InterBSCHOSuccRate =
    100*VC!InterBSCHOSucc/VC!InterBSCHOAtt

    InterBSCHOAtt = BTS_EXTHO:ATINBHDO
    InterBSCHOSucc = BTS_EXTHO:SUINBHDO
    for Example
    InterBSCHoAtt=70
    InterBSCHoSucc=100
    Ext HO SR = 100*(100/70)
    Ext HO SR=142 %

    Please help me about this problem

    Hi,
    I am using Siemens BSS and I never seen that case. Yes you are using a right formula.
    From where did you get these values? Spots? Can you check the values inside the measurement file getting from BSC?
