18th May 2011 at 09:54 #50952Malay DasGuestIn a busy hour :
According to Erlang B table, 7timeslot (1 trx in combined mode) with 2% GOS =3 Erlang(in 1hour).
But according to Erlang Definition it should be 7Erlang (in 1hour).
So, Where is that remaining (7-3)= 4 Erlang??18th May 2011 at 11:58 #50953pixGuesthi,
the system capacity is 3erl@2%…
it means that when 3 erlangs are sent into the system, there are 2% which will be rejected.
If you send 7 erlangs, there will be about 50% of these 7 erlang which will be rejected.
The reason is that only 7 simultaneous can be handled. And statistically, 50% of the incoming calls will arrive when all 7 TS are busy.
And other times, only 2 or 3 TS are busy.
This is all linked to the random arrival of calls.

pix19th May 2011 at 08:46 #50954Malay DasGuestHi Pix,
Thanks for the answer.
But still I am cunfused..But If, the TRX is totally free and 7calls arrived at a particular time, and the duration of each call is 1 hour.
Then what will happen??
It will 7 erlangs or as usual 2.94 Erlangs?19th May 2011 at 18:08 #50955pixGuestmalay,
yes, those 7 calls that last one hour would be measured as 7 erlangs.

now, to go a bit further : you agree that 7 simultaneous calls of 1 hours will never happen !The erlang B table is actually telling you how “real” subscribers are going to behave, and what is the capacity of your system, relatively to this chaotic world.
Cheers

Q:- what is function of MW / Core and Transit in entire network function
12th August 2011 at 13:27 #50958Narendra GangwarGuestwho one trx can hold 2.94 Erlang traffic
13th August 2011 at 07:43 #50959pixGuestnarendra,
one trx contains 8 timeslots, and let’s say 6 of them are TCH.
in such case, in maximum usage, a TRX could carry up to 6 erlangs. So 2.9 erlangs is possible.

how many channel this bts has?
please help me26th December 2012 at 08:55 #50963ZachGuestFrohe Weihnachten
@RAKESH BHATIA,
if you are dealing with data capacity, it’s not similar with voice capacity forecast, talking about data/PS will be end up in end user perception ( maximum throuhgput ) target, no matter technology you use, GSM, WCDMA, LTE, you name it.But be carefull when you move further into throughput discussion, try to have deeper understanding about RLC/LLC throughput or even network throughput by using counter in measurement
