Working for a CLEC that has placed a large emphasis on line count. ISP’s have become a ” quick fix ” for generating these. The issue is the switch capacity ( Ports ) and trunking issues that are created. Does anybody have any information on PRI Offload.
Third – how does hold time effect the available CCS’s on my trunking. I am seeing hold times of 3000 call secs per hour during peak ISP hours. Is there a way to calculate a more accurate traffic model using the hold time. As it stands now i have just as many ISP trunks as i do Tandem trunks. With that stated every time a new ISP is brought on we order matching tandem or DEOT trunks.
THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY !!!
PLEASE SUGGEST ANYTHING…..
Thank You
