MSRN utilisation rate

    Dear All,

    Does any one know, how to calculate the MSRN utilization rate in one MSC? We have Alcatel and Siemens MSCs in our network.

    What exactly do you mean with MSRN utilization rate?

    Do you want to know how to calculate the required number of MSRN in a MSC?

    Yes ,i want to calculate the required number of MSRN in our MSC and after check if these numbers are enough or not?

    usually this is done by multiplying the number of MTC with the lifetime of one roaming number divided by 3600
    -> MSRN = MTC * MSRN lifetime / 3600

    Shouldn’t it be in relationship with the number of Subscriber a MSC can handle …
    Viz :- Number of subscriber which can be present in a VLR
