DMAX VALUE

    Hi All,
    As per the GSM rule,a moblie can work on maximum upto 32 K.M means DMAX value is 64. So why default max value of DMAX is 255.

    With this parameter you define the maximum distance between
    the BTS and the MS in call setup. The maximum distance is
    expressed as an access delay. Within the range of 0…62, one step
    correlates to a distance of 550 meters. If the access delay of the
    channel request message exceeds the given maximum, the call
    attempt is rejected. When the parameter is given a value from 63
    to 255, call attempts are never rejected
