Can somebody help me with troubleshooting of Nokia BTS wrt to the combination of alarms dispalyed for that sector.
For instance 7745 + 7743 suggest problem in feeder link
10th July 2006 at 21:12 #45335patrickGuestcancel alarm, 7745 and 7743.
example:
** ALARM TRX -003 C74929B
(16095) 7745 CHANNEL FAILURE RATE ABOVE DEFINED THRESHOLD
02 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 100dZEOR:25:16095;
ZEOR: n° bcf: n° alarm;
Last number is very important,
if the alarm come back, you have a really problem. If you have 100D = 100% failure
CHECK:
– ROSS feeder
– change TRX
– change coplerIf it is not material, check channel plan frequencie.
good luck.

appears when PCM link is cut (storm, rain(microwave) or breakdown)
it is stay in memories. You can cancelled by ZEOR or to do lock/unlocked of BCF (ZEFS)
I don’t why it is stay in memories. (BUG? i think)
the main alarm when PCM link is cut is: BTS O&M link failure + bcch missing20th July 2006 at 09:02 #45340un7fdaGuestHI PATRICK

Patrick help please algorithm of troubleshooting and elimination at failure:
7725 TRAFFIC CHANNEL ACTIVATION FAILURE 02
THANKS.20th July 2006 at 14:20 #45341PATRICKGuestit is not important alarm but there is extract of NED:
Meaning
The system has blocked the radio time slot because the call
control has failed a number of times in the activation of
a traffic channel.
Supplementary information fields
1 Type of the channel whose TCH activation failed
The channel type can be “TCH” , “SDCCH” or “Packet Data TCH”.
The number value “0” indicates “TCH”, “1” indicates “SDCCH”
and “2” indicates “PDTCH” (Packet Data Traffic TCH).
Instructions
if the failure type is “PDTCH”, the alarm is cancelled automatically
by the system, when no more failure indications are observedif the channel type is “TCH” or “SDCCH”, cancel the alarm with the MML
command EOR. Deblock the radio time slot by first aligning the TRX
in question with the command ERS and then removing the alignment
of the TRX
Cancelling
If the channel type is “TCH” or “SDCCH”, cancel the alarm with a command
before taking the steps described in the INSTRUCTIONS, if the alarm has
not been cancelled before. See instructions on base transceiver station
alarms handling.21st July 2006 at 04:25 #45342un7fdaGuestHI PATRICK
In this case the type of failure 02 that is “PDTCH” (Packet Data Traffic TCH) is clearly, from NED is not clear as to find the reason which causes the given failure and her{it} to remove.
Thanks.21st July 2006 at 04:51 #45343un7fdaGuestРatric, I know at you very much wide experience with equipment Nokia, please share also experience on elimination of failure: Rx levels differ too much between main and diversity antennas.
Thanks!23rd July 2006 at 11:45 #45344RahulGuestHi patrick
thanx
can u clearify this alarm
” Bts with no transaction” This alarm come when the Sector in not Taking Calls
How can we resolve the problem24th July 2006 at 08:02 #45345PatrickGuestRx levels differ too much between main and diversity antennas.
When you make a commisionning, the BTS make a check of ROSS of feeder.
So, if you have “RX level …” you have a problem on feeder or copler or antenna or LNA
On MMI, you have RSSI comparaison value, you can see difference between main and div.
“RX level…” appears when difference is superior at 3 or 4. I don’t remember.25th July 2006 at 05:34 #45346un7fdaGuestHI PATRICK
Many thanks.26th July 2006 at 20:50 #45347patrickGuestRahul – 23 Jul 2006
ALARM 7738
I don’t have a solution for this alarm.6th October 2006 at 09:38 #45348sunggusGuestHi,
Alarm 7738: BTS WITH NO TRANSACTIONS, could be occur by two reasons:
1. No incoming call, i.e due to DVxx is broken.
2. The cell facing the very rural area, so nobody make call. The alarm itself will be generated if in one hour continuously detected no call, and the alarm will be cancelled if after one hour detected call has made.
If such alarm occurs, just replace the DVxx or made call in that cell. -
