13th February 2007 at 07:12 #41252AvinashGuesthello, Aditya.
The maximum configuration that a 2206 rbs can have is 4+4+4.
if you need to have 8+8+8 configuration you need to have two bts 2206 placed.13th February 2007 at 07:18 #41253AvinashGuestHi Ivan
As I have said in order to have a 8+8+8 configuration you need to have two 2206 bts placed.

Yes, I know that the configuration needs 2 rbs.
I noticed that it needs more than just another rbs. Something about ESB cable.
Is there someone that can help me with this?Thank you for the reply

yeah you have to have an ESB cable for the 2nd RBS to get its synchronization from the 1st RBS.. you need to calculate heaps of delays.. feeder delays and ESB cable delays depending on the lenghts and types. then define it on your OMT to modify the IDB. and display the trasmitter chain delay. make sure the TF compensation is below 5000 ns

13th March 2007 at 16:48 #41258YopiGuestHi all,
I must understand the process in which the Ericsson BSS sets up the Abis link. I understand it sends some training sequence and maps the timeslots:
1. what are the details of the process?
2. When will the BSS decide a timeslot can’t be used?
3. Is there any way to monitor this process? When the Abis link is operational, what would cause it to fail except for physical problems on the E1?
Is there a way to get delay statistics for the Abis link?
Is there any parameter that will add to the overall delay?
