In moto if you calibrate , in single density mode , the CTU-2 carrier capicity is made to one , then the TX pwr can be made max to 60 W o/p .

In Double density mode the CTU-2 carrier capacity is made to two , and the TX pwr can be made to 20W o/p max .

dear prashanth,

we can use 3 sectors in metro site, i.e by using 3 seperate cabinets.

In each cabinet use 3 TRXs and forth one is dummy.

For these 3 TRX, internal cabling is
IN of1 TRX to OUTof 2 TRX,

IN of 2 TRX to OUT of 3 TRX and

IN OF 3 TRX to OUT of 1 TRX.

try this, u may not get any alarams.

do you want to create 4 sectors??

SOFT and CONFIG, i think, it is possible …
BUT the problem is hardware, how do you place 4 Copler and Wide band Combiner in the BTS.

4444 It is IMPOSSIBLE because capacity max is 12. You must add a second BTS.

We are doing BTS mixte:
1part= 1800
sector 1800 are ABC
2part=900
sector 900 are DEF

With city talk, we did 4 sectors, and spell it D.

1- without detail, diversity improves quality.

2- Diversity is also important when you increase the capacity of BTS (2 TRX) without loss. (-3db, -6db, …)

Hi Gouse,
I am working in a CDMA system. Actually GSM is frequency conscious. When Freq. channels ends up then no more user is accommodated. But in CDMA system Unlimited users can be accomodated. The only limitation is noise on reverse channel.

1- Channels in GSM depends on the E-1 availbility, but in CDMA on CHM card, u just add a card and increase ur channels.
2- Call procesing is a long topic.
3- Capacity of CDMA is more than GSM.
4- Good, definitely CDMA. With all other adantages of CDMA, faster DATA rates is a very big advantage.
