SDCCH and Base Band Hopping

    Dear All,
    I have a question regarding SDCCH and Base Band Hopping(BBH).
    There 3 TRXS ( 0,1,2), with one 1SDCCH in the TRX0-2nd Timeslot. The remaining are all TCH. Now if this cell has BBH then all the TCHs will hop among the 3 TRXs, but what about the SDCCH. Does it hop as well, as the 2nd Timeslot in TRX1 and TRX2 are TCH.

    Hi Arindam,

    SDCCH will also hop in all 3 TRXs for BBH. Assuming it is not combined with BCCH.

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me,how does the SDCCH hops in what scenerios and is it enabled in both type of Freq Hopping Baseband and Synthesised.What can be the advantages of SD Hops ,if so??

    Hi,
    SDCCH hop in any case for BBH as all TS other than the BCCH i.eTS-0 TRX-0 are hopping.
    For SDCCH in FHS simply they dont hop on BCCH and hop on hopping radio.
    As far as the agvantages of having them on hopping or not hopping,lest focus on SFH. the issue narrows down to the noise floor if the BCCH is cleaner then SDR is reduced by keeping SDCCH on BCCH radio which is normally the case and is the preferred scenario. for the hopping frequencies being cleaner SDCCH can be kept on hopping radios too.
