Does anyone know how a Poisson equates to an Erlang? Even better what is a Poisson?
Poisson is not a unit like an Erlang. It is a traffic model and is similar to Erlang B, but assumes that blocked calls remain in a system for the length of their holding time, had they been served, and then leave the system.
Poisson is also a statistical distribution used to describe call arrivals.
