The Call Minutes Calculator

The Call Minutes Calculator is based on the Erlang B traffic model and is used to work out how many lines are required on a trunk group if the total number of minutes of traffic which will be offered to that trunk group in one day are known. It can also be used to work out how much traffic a trunk group can carry.


In order to work out the number of lines required, the calculator converts the daily traffic to Busy Hour Traffic using the Busy Hour Factor which you supply. Calculations are made according to a Blocking figure which you specify.
