I have a problem.
Is there any dependency between MAP Restore Data and CAMEL phase (either phase 1, phase 2, phase 3 or phase 4) for voice communication?
If yes, What’s that?
Could you please share to me for the journals or documents?
Please help me out.
Any response will be greatly appreciated.
CAMEL is a Network Feature that is based on CAMEL Application Part (CAP) and Mobile Application Part (MAP). Most CAMEL implementations that I have worked on have MAP V3 and CAP V2 in the Network. This is used for PrePaid Voice Services. O-CSI flag is configured in the HLR / HSS / UDC Profile database.
Implementations of CAP V3 – for SMS – is based on CAP V3 and MAP V3.
Very few implementations of CAP V4.
Good if you can highlight your exact issue with MAP.
Main relationship is CAP V2 and MAP V3.0. MAP V3.0 enables CAMEL flags from the HLR / HSS / UDC to be downloaded to a gsmSSF in the VPLMN.
Also if you are using ATI method() you will need MAP V3.0.
It will be good if you can highlight the issue with MAP Restore? Is it that CAMEL information (e.g. x-CSI) is not being sent to the gsmSSF / gprsSSF in the VPLMN? Issues with LU and ISD, etc..
