Reason to define Data TS on BCCH TRX

The main reason is to obtain higher throughput. Since the BCCH TRX carries most of the signaling channels in the cell, BCCH frequency planning is normally performed with a higher target C/I (in other words, more frequencies). As a result, data channels on the BCCH TRXs will normally have a higher C/I compared to those on non-BCCH TRXs, and by extension, higher data throughput.

Yes there is a concern of Power because the BCCH TRX will always have the highest power among all TRX in the cell so we create the PD’s on the BCCH.
