Dear All,
how the MSC knwo that the subscriber is absent in case the SMSC send an Forward Short message to the absent subscriber (mobile switched off or Battery removed)

any one can help me?
IMSI detach happens when a mobile is switched off. A MAP request is sent to the HLR to reflect “IMSI-detach”. HLR profile is updated. Once the mobile is back online (IMSI attach) the SMS-SC will forward the SMS message.
