Paging Deletion Increased

    Hi ALL,
    Lately paging deletions has increased in the network..All cells are on Non-combined configuration with 4 multiframes between paging..
    Wt all shud I chk??

    hi,

    the first thing to check is your PCH load on the Air interface (or the ratio “paging messages” / “paging capacity”). If there is congestion on the pch, then one of the solutions is to reduce the LAC size.

    Sorry, but If we always we reduce the LAC size once we face a paging deletion problem…! we find in the network just the small LACs… is there anther way to troubleshoot the paging PB without reducing LAC size ?

    (that’s sarcasm too)

    if PCH is congested, then ONE of the solution is to reduce the LAC size.

    1/ not all paging deletion are linked to PCH congestion

    2/ IF the PCH is congested, then there are others way to solve the problem.

    in your case : LAC are already small, and PCH may not be congested.

    So in your case, you are still in step 1 : what is the cause of the deletion ? t3113 expiry ? wrong LAC address ? wrong MSC parameters ? SDCCH drops ? Abis congestion ? PCH congestion ?
