WCDMA Cell Selection Ec/No or RSCP?

    Hi all,

    Normally for cell selection we have the choice between Ec/No or RSCP,
    I don’t think we can use the both at the same time ?
    Could you tell me what is the preffered signal to check:
    Ec/No or RSCP?

    Hi all
    Sorry I made a mistake
    the question concern cell “RESELECTION” not “Selection”
    And I think that the answer is that
    it is “CPICH RSCP” that is take into account for doing CELL RESELECTION not CPICH Ec/No

    tell me if I am right

    I think CPICH Ec/No can be used as
    there is not so much ulilization of 3G Network. so EcNo is ok for that network. if u have high ulilization in ur netwrok then go for CPICH RSCP as in this case EcNo will be poor.
