Hi all,
Since an inter BSC site mutation, we observed that the UL and DL TBF Drop rate increased in the BSC source with MSC9 usage increase and GCH Load decrease. I assume that this behaviour is normal since MCS9 usage induces more TBF retransmission and therefore more TBF Drop. any comment about this behaviour plz?
Thanks
28th April 2009 at 19:16 #56903RexGuestHi Jacky,
I think until the TBF_Establishment_Failure (UL/DL)is low, there is no wory about that.
Regards,29th April 2009 at 08:00 #56904JackyGuestThanks Rex, can i have a threshold for TBF_Establishment_Failure(UL/DL), otherwise how explain the TBF drop increase?
4th May 2009 at 14:41 #56905RexGuestHi Jacky,
the threshold for tbf_est_failure in our net is 5%. About TBF drop increase, I’m not sure. Maybe redeclaring NSVCs on SGSN side will improve (decrease) tbf drop, once we tried and there were improvements.
Regards,5th May 2009 at 10:07 #56906JackyGuestThanks Rex for the tbf_est_failure we have the same values as yours.

with drive test tool as TEMS Investigation where can I locate the TBF DROP rate and the TBF Establishement succes ratethanks
16th September 2009 at 05:03 #56908MacGuestHi Jacky,
Can u pl tel what exactly do u mean by redeclaring NSVCs on SGSN side?
And I too am interested to know answer to Anis’s querry.
Thnx in advance!!16th September 2009 at 05:20 #56909MacGuestHi Jacky,
INIT MCS parameters are recommended fir TBF drop improvement. Just to share with you, I changed the INIT MCS (DL/UL) from 6/5 to 2/1 & I got good improvement in the Attach Success rate!!! But there was no impact on TBF drop. Perhaps u may try & share the results.
Thanks.12th October 2009 at 13:34 #56910HamzaGuestany chance of improving UL TBF Est. Success Rate?
what parameters to hit?!
all this data for 2.5G is meaningless

pix23rd March 2010 at 07:45 #56912VIKASGuestWAT IS THE RLTIMEOUT IN GPRS?
23rd March 2010 at 10:02 #56913pixGuestVikkas,
the equivalent for “TBF drop” is called N3101 and N3103.
Cheers
pix1st April 2010 at 13:50 #56914van_guenGuestHi Pix,
could you please, give me more information about drops due to N3101,N3103 and Npolling, because I have problems with high level of TBF Drops in UL. The N3101,N3103 and Npolling drop causes are so high…
Is it possible to adjust some parameter related to N3101 and N3103?
The problems with TBF_Drop_UL comes after Extended_TBF_UL activation.
Thank you in advance and wish you Happy Easter holiday :))
Rado_bg23rd June 2010 at 13:34 #56915DebashisGuestWhat is explain more on RLTIMEOUT and INIT MCS (DL/UL) from 6/5 to 2/1.
Reragds,

26th June 2012 at 19:37 #56916SergioGuestIn the formula we have the accessibility seguintres plots: SDCCH Blocking, Fall and Fail SDCCH channel traffic. I wonder what the relationship between them for this indicator.
