Cell utilization (Cell capacity )in UMTS

    hello

    how i can calculate the cell utilization (%) ot cell capaicity in 3 G cell

    in 2 G we can know number of channel and according to GOS we use erlang table B to know design traffic so the cell utilization = real traffic *100/ design traffic

    i do not know how come in 3 G cell

    In 3G we use (Code, Power, Iub Bandwidth, CE) utilization to get the Cell utilization; since 3G is soft capacity system not like 2G constrained by TRX capacity.

    I’ve also been looking for the answer of 3G capacity monitoring.
    I’m new in post processing. So, your aid will be highly appreciated.

    Could you please share the guideline to do the capacity monitoring report?
    The Iub, CE, Power, Code utilization.

    The Channel Element Utilization for few BTS is more than 90% on BBH level.Although the HSDPA payload is less than 1GB,around 1erlang CS traffic,no SF blocking,2 to 3 simultaneous HSDPA users.Please suggest?
