Can anyone explain how does a toll free number get mapped to a DID number. I want to understand the terminology.
A Toll free number is assigned by a Telco.
The telco then will require a phone number to route to. You can provide a DID number, analog number etc.You usually need to pay for calls that are called to the toll free number based on location and duration.
