    Need some quick imformation about interface bw node-b to RNC to MGW.

    How it works?

    just a simple idea..

    and what is the name of Nokia and Ericsson’s product?

    Interface between NodeB and RNC is called Iub, which consists of ATM stack (as transport protocol), and top of that there’s NBAP application protocol. IP is coming as option to replace ATM. Both AAL2 and AAL5 are used. Interface RNC and MGW is called Iu. ATM is also used here, but some vendors support IP already now. Voice circuits run AAL2. RANAP application protocol does here mainly the same job as BSSAP in GSM.

    Hi

    I have NSN nodeB to connected to RNC with 8E1’s (ATM IuB). I have been requested to swap the 8E1’s to STM-1…I got the IFUC card…I don’t have no idea how to do it.

    Please Help
