to detect ping pong HO, you can have a look to the QoS indicators such as :
– HO per call
– TCH duration
It highly depends on your layer architecture : do you have multi-layers (umbrella, mini, micro, …) ?
or if the cell is covering roads or highway (that generates more HO)
HO per call should be less than 5, but in certain conditions, having up to 10 is accepted (umbrella cells, micro cells, highway cells)
The RTCH duration should be at least 20 or 25 seconds, but in some cells (cf. above) it can be down to 10 or 12 seconds.
In your network, the number of incoming HO = number of outgoing HO…
Now, if you focus on one cell, what is the point of HO/Call ? To know how much TCH are allocated with a full call setup or directly with an incoming HO.
In this case, Inc HO / Call seems like a better indicator. But it just depends what you want to do with it.
