Call forwarding scenario

    If a Mobile Subsriber has activated a Call Forwarding on his mobile & I dial that Mobile no the in the IAM will the Original no will be sent or the number to which he has forwarded the call or whether both the original as well as forwarded number with both IM 7 SAM being sent .

    Yes as CALLED NUMBER and REDIRECTED NUMBER.

    And there will be an Optional Field abt ORIGINALLY CALLED NUMBER.
    Useful in cae of Multiple CFs.

    Dear Mr S Vijay,

    I could’nt get exactly cleared about this. Are u conveying that both the Original No & the No on which CF has been done will be sent in the IAM . Also would like to know about Multiple CF you touched upon & how that is done .

    C – exchnge Gets

    Calling -A
    Called – B
    Redirecting – B
    OCN – B

    2.C-Forwarded to D
    ********************

    A Calls B Forwarded to C Fwded to D

    D – exchnge Gets

    Calling -A
    Called – D
    Redirecting – C
    OCN – B

    Hope you understand this….

    There will be a Redirecting counter which can be controlled by exchanges.

    Hi Vijay,

    I have a 2 queries on this too.
    1) In the first call when A Calls B Forwarded to C, would’t the “Called No” that C exchange gets be C instead of B?

    If NO,then in the Second call when A Calls B Forwarded to C Fwded to D,how can the “Called No” that D exchange gets be D? Would it not be B as before?

    2)In case of PSTN that uses R2 MF (ie if SS7 is not used) how would be the scenario that Akku had asked?
    Is there something like OCN that is passed to the forwarded C or D switches?

    Please reply to the above 2 questions.
