If a call is originating in MSC1 and passing through MSC2 to PSTN.
What should be ess,esr values in MSC1 and MSC2 to include echo canceller in both Mobile-PSTN & PSTN-Mobile calls.
Any AXE expert listening..

ESS-1 ( Sending Side EC )
ESR-1 ( Receiving Side EC )

As two MSCs come into picture in single call, Pl specify individual settings to be done in each MSC.
Thanks

If the Link is like
MSC to MSC on your Own Transmission Network Then there is no need for ECs.
If you link both MSCs through PUBLIC Network…then you can apply if you have ECHO…
Do testing to find out..by applying the EC and removing the EC.
You may not feel much difference.
Very useful in cae of Long distance calls.

We use ESR value 1 for a POI route with PSTN.
Why we do not use ESS. This is put as 0 only in AXE 10.
How Echo cancelers works and why Echo is generated. Can some Expert Throw lite on this….
