I am working as a BSS planning engg for one of the mobile operators.I want
to increase my scope of knowledge by Learning some basic things about
switch
planning. I will be highly obliged if you can send me some material or for
that matter suggest me some website or any available books in the market,
that will help me out in understanding the basic concept of switch
planning..i am looking for basic things like for eg: what paramters govern
the switch capacity, how a switch reacts to overload conditions, what is

I will be happy to share my experience and knowledge. we are using Siemens equipment, right from the switch to the BTS.on the RF side i have a sound background, and Switching side is what i am lagging. But still whatever info i have i can definetly share with you. Do write to me if u have any queries may be i can answer.

At least I got someone who is in my fied. I have just started working with a local mobile operator as a Switching and Value Added Service Planning Engineer. I also wish to learn as much information as possible in this field.

VLR capacity =120,000
BHCA = 1.7
Call attempts=VLR*BHCA
Max no of CCS7 links=112 @200mErlangs.
NO of LTGs= 256(1024E1s).
Proceesor name=CP113
The above figures are valid for 100% CP load A.Siemens is coming out with higher capacity switch, the details i will provide once the switch is implemented.
