I am working for a GSM operator dealing with BTS dimensioning.
Recently I discovered that the Erlang B table is not aplicable in our case, as the BSC has an internal queue, allowing a call to retry ~7 seconds to get a TCH before to be rejected.
The trade off is longer call setup time vs lower investment in capacity.
I developed some formulas to forecast the correct number of TRU’s for a given traffic and GOS, but I want a graph to show the link between the call setup time and the GOS.
Can somebody help me?
