Hi,
I want to originate the calls coming at E1 line and send them to a SIP Server.
E1 line is connected to a Cisco AS5350 box…..any file that could help or file to get commands to configure the box will be highly appreciated…How can I check if ISDN is properly connected with AS5350 through command line???

4th October 2006 at 16:18 #31127MannyGuestYou can use “show isdn status” it shows you the status of each of your E1 with the status of the Layer1,2 and 3.
For the documentation try to search on the cisco website, they provide almost all the documentation with example on how configure your router.

Secondly,
with framing CRC4 at controller E1 ..I get “Far End Block Errors Detected” when I issue show controller and with framing no-crc4 I get “Receiver has loss of signal.” …..
Please let me know how to be sure that E1 is not connected properly or might be I am doing something wrong….thanks==============================

Most likely, your E1 line is not wired correctly. Check the wiring (if necessary, use E1 crossover cable which flips pins 1,2–4,5 (NOT the same as ethernet crossover!).
Verify linecoding and framing with your provider (although they don’t matter in case of loss of signal, you’ll need them later for E1 to work properly).

Coordinate your E1 linecoding/framing /CRC with the other end and intermediate equipment (if any). Or just play around with these parameters on your controller, there are not many choices.
If it does not help, call engineer on the other end and ask what exact errors they are getting and post them along with error counters on your controller.
