I have played the impulses from a speaker and tapped the echo captured by the mike by fixing the speaker and mike positions. This is nothing but I got the impulse response of the room.
Now I need to analyze the impulse response I got. The impulse reponse has a decaying pattern.
How to calculate accurately the tail length for this impulse response. Is there any standard threshold we need to consider. I have observed change in this echo tail (directly proportional) with the amplitude of the impulse we are playing. Is that right? Whether the echo tail depends on the amplitude of the impuse we are playing.
