Bandwidth Consumption

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me what amount of bandwidth is consumed per voice hour e.g. 1.5 mb including upload and download is consumed for 1 hour of voice.

    You will use 64 kb per channel per second if the voice is uncompressed.
    That is called g711 codec.
    Other codecs will go as low as 5.3 kb second, with a good 30-40 percent overhead per call.
    Average, calculate 10 to 15 kb second per call.

    Multiply that by 60 seconds to get a minute, again by 60 to get one hour.

    how can i stop the phone from cracking/breaking when a heavy download is going on in one of the system on the network.
