i AM Having my passport 4460 at both the ends and T1 lines has been configured and data is being carried on VOIP.
VOIP IS running on public Internet.
I am facing the problem of voice quality. It is very bad.
Do suggest me something,
The voice quality is badd because you are experiencing either packet loss or jitter. Packet loss would be due to lack of bandwidth (managed) or wan/lan problems. Jitter is very common on public internet and is best avoided by increasing the jitter buffers (at the expense of delay) on your voip gateways if they allow you to do this.
Well that wont help much.
The Internet itself is your problem.
Your hardware is generating between 40 to 50 milliseconds on delay, form site to site.
Your provider is resposable for the rest. You have to keep delay under 150 millisecond and there is no internet provider who will garantee you a max delay of 110 millisecond. Only based on a dedicated ASDL network they can give you that but not many can atm.
So look for a ASDL provider who will give you this garantee
