Convert T1 Access Server To E1

    Hi. There is no way to convert a T1 card to E1 card without changing the cards, but you can translate T1 E1 with RAD equipment, although you will loose some channels. See http://www.rad.com
    If you’re in Iran you need to be carefuk with RAD equipment it’s made in Israel.

    Reza,

    I heard some people are able to convert T1’s to E1’s by using some software image, but I don’t know how. If you find out a solution, please let me know. I’m also interested.

    There is no way to convert E1 to T1 in software. different framing, different line coding, completely different at layer 1.

    As the first response says you need buy a convertor from a vendor such as RAD. You wil never get a full E1 because 30 into 24 does not go…

    Hi,
    The best way is to ask CISCO how to convert it. I think the conversion of E1 to T1 is a software since the no. of lines are reduced from 30 to 24.
