How to improve G.723.1’s performence

    I have tested G.723.1 in my Linux server. And it took 16 seconds to encode a 60 seconds long WAV file. It was too slow! Anyone have ideas to improve it’s performence?

    Have you tried changing the bit rate or bandwidth of the wave file? If its stereo mono?
