Wireless VoIP

    Hello,

    I’d like to know the experiences of anyone who has done wireless VoIP over 2.4GHz.

    Generally, how bigger are the ping (round-trip) times between the two wireless routers compared to a case where the connection is over an T1/E1?

    Also, what about the packet loss? Is it generally at tolerable levels for voice?

    Any input will be greatly appreciated.

    Maybe you can find some more info on the subject on the WECA/Wi-Fi site and the spectralink site. There is no standard yet on WLAN VoIP packet prioritising. A vote is going to take place in the upcoming week. Spectralink can place 4 votes and has proven to the other board members that there concept works. On their site you can find lots of white papers and PDF’s
