false answer supervision

    Hi,

    We are facing a False answer supervison from our AS5300 connected to nortel DMS 250, what happens is as our DMS goes off hook to send call to our Gateway we gets an answer back immediately from cisco,could it be some config problem on our Cisco ?
    any help would be greatly appreciated

    If your AS5300 is setup to do wink signaling as opposed to Immediate signaling, the OFF HOOK signal from AS5300 probably is the start of the wink which the DMS falsely detects as ANSWER SUPERVISION.
    Solution: Make them both either Immediate or Wink start.
