My understanding is SC2200 is not a softswitch, it’s just a SS7 Signaling Gateway. It terminates SS7 MTP 1 and 2 through the SLT, carries MTP 3 over IP, and convert the signal to extended Q.931 to tell the AS5300 to receive the call in a particular IMT trunk.
