NetIQ is about to ship a VoIP module for its Chariot software. Chariot does network performance testing. The new VoIP module allows you to drive “synthetic” voip traffic across an IP network, measuring delay, jitter, and packet loss, and using the e-model to provide MOS call quality. The nice part is that you can do all this without having deployed (or purchased) any voip equipment yet.
If you want more info, go to http://www.netiq.com/voip. The best info is to download the whitepaper listed on the right side of the page called “Is Your Network Ready for VoIP”
You can also be a part of the last few weeks of the beta for this voip testing. It ships this month.
