Hi Ashok,

For O&M look at FCAPS: Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance and Security. Telecommunication systems and solutions are built around FCAPS.

For Handovers, this is built into the GSM/3G/4G 3GPP Technical Specifications.

Hi Lalit,

I understand from your question is that you would like to extract a 64kbits/s stream from a Timeslot?

You will need a de-MUX equipment.

Decibel is not an absolute level -

It is purely a comparison between two levels, and on its own it cannot be used to measure an absolute level. As a result of this the quantities of dBm and dBW are used:-

dBm - This is a power expressed in decibels relative to one milliwatt.

dBW - This is a power expressed in decibels relative to one watt.

I NEED TO SHARE THIS QUESTION WITH ALL OF YOU AND SEE IF WE CAN GET A ANSWER:" AN AMPLIFIER WITH 3dB GAIN IS FED WITH A 6WATT INPUT SIGNAL. WHAT IS THE OUTPUT POWER IN WATTS?"

32 Time slots - This is a PCM / E1.0. Done by convention to have 32 Time Slots and a sampling rate of 8000Hz (Nyqvist).
