To reduce or increase the coverage of a cell, you may (primarily) tune the CPICH power :
Amos: get utranCell primaryCpichPower
By default, use 330 (ie. 33dBm)
Dependencies: primaryCpichPower less than maximumTransmissionPower
Decreasing the cpich will reduce the cell coverage, but also decrease the Ec/No of the users inside the cell. They will "hear" more interferences.
A good way to check the coverage distance of a cell is to extract the counter "pmPropagationDelay", at RBS level (class prach)
Amos : pmx prach pmPropagationDelay -m 3 -a
Within one sector, only analyse cells with highest amount of samples (ie. where the UE are camping).

What is the parameter of the power to decrease the power of the cell so as not to go very far finally to avoid the degradation of the signal.
What is the maximum distance in 3G cell must cover to prevent its degradation and avoid congestion.
What are the most commonly used power settings

Areas to focus on:-
- Activated Network Features (basic / optional)
- Resource Usage
- Traffic Profile / Dimensioning
- Policy Settings
- Quality of Service
- RF setup (and possible optimisation)
- Stability of the Transmission Network (MPLS-TE, SDH, etc..)

Im kallo, working on ZTE equipement. I have some difficult to improve 3G call drop CS domain.
I have check and found that the main 3G CS Call drop reasons are:
3-Soft Handover/ Hard handover
4-Other procedure (very high)

|Call drop can be because of poor coverage(TP value is high):-|
1. TP Value is high.
2. Congestion on target Cell
3. Missing Neighbor.
4.INSYNCID & OUTSYNCID mismatch
5. Inter frequency missing neighbor.
6.Due to alarm & Hardware issue
8. Scribbling code collision
